Prof. Dr. Anatolie Sidorenko is specialized in the field of nanotechnologies and functional superconducting nanostructures. He is director of Institute of Electronic Engineering and Nanotechnologies Academy of Sciences of Moldova, author of over 400 scientific publications, 42 patents, the editor of 4 books published in “Springer”, the editor of two thematic series “Functional Nanostructures” of Beilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, associated editor of Moldavian Journal of the Physical Sciences, member of Moldavian Academy of Sciences, member of Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft (DPG).

Dr. Chithrani leverages nanotechnology to create innovations that advance the care of cancer patients. She is using gold nanoparticles as a radiation dose enhancer in cancer therapy. This work is featured on the cover of radiation research journal. This paper won the highest impact paper award in 2018 by COMP (Canadian association of Medical physicist). She has also developed three dimensional tumor models to optimize bio-nano interface in cancer therapy. This work is featured on the cover of Nano-Micro Letters journal. Dr. Chithrani is considered as one of the leaders in the field of nanotechnology and her publications have received over 7500 citations in few years. Dr. Chithrani has earned a strong international reputation for her innovative research through her many review articles, book chapters, and invited presentations. She is an associate editor of many nanotechnology based journals. Her passion is to develop smart nanomaterials to improve exiting cancer therapeutics. She believes that many side effects due to chemotherapy can be reduced by controlled delivery of anticancer drugs using smart nanomaterials.

Prof./Dr. Jean-Paul Lellouche (1981 PhD degree/education in Organic Chemistry field, University La Doua, Lyon - France) moved in October 2000 to the Bar-Ilan University (Ramat-Gan, Israel) - Department of Chemistry & Institute of Nanotechnology & Advanced Materials as a Full Professor in synthetic Organic Chemistry/Nano(bio)technology (July 2008) & recent Dpt Head (Oct 2017-July 2018). His main current R&D activities concern nanomaterials engineering science (magnetic/non-magnetic drug/siRNA & microRNA delivery systems, theranostic nanoparticles for human therapy). He authored 155 peer-reviewed scientific papers (2,528 citations), 15 patents, and 4 book chapters together with a recent start-up creation activity (January 2019 – NANODROPs project).

His main current R&D activities concern nanomaterials engineering science (magnetic/non-magnetic drug/siRNA & microRNA delivery systems, theranostic nanoparticles for human therapy)

Yoshitaka Okada completed his PhD degree in electronic engineering from the University of Tokyo. He is currently a Professor in the Department of New Energy at the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST) of the University of Tokyo. His recent research interests include epitaxial film growth of low-dimensional quantum nanostructures as well as III-V-N dilute nitrides for applications to high efficient intermediate-band and hot carrier solar cells and multijunction solar cells. Dr. Okada is a member of the IEEE, Materials Research Society (MRS) and Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP). He has authored and co-authored over 200 refereed journal publications and over 230 international conference presentations.

His recent research interests include epitaxial film growth of low-dimensional quantum nanostructures as well as III-V-N dilute nitrides for applications to high efficient intermediate-band and hot carrier solar cells and multijunction solar cells.
